This is my first time to blog and thought it would be a great way to keep in touch with family and friends, and post pictures of the happenings in our life.

Next week, I go back to school and I'm taking 4 classes (Microbiology, Statistics, Eng 112, and Developmental Psych)this semester. Then, in the summer I'll finish up with Ethics and Sociology before going to Sentara nursing school in the fall. I will have to take approx 6-8 online courses at the school, and get my CNA certificate before I'm able to start clinicals and 300/400 level nursing classes in the fall of 2011. It's going to be a long process but I am taking it one semester at a time! Think positive and good things will happen, right?!

Alex is back to school and has a verbal and written book report project due on Thursday. Sometimes, I feel like the projects are more for the parents than the children. I sat there with Alex for 3 hours helping her write the report and Allen helped her memorize it. She was so proud when she stood on the kitchen chair and recited it back to us-which made it all worthwhile!

Allen is back to work after alot of time off for the holidays. He didn't take any scheduled leave time because they ended up with so many days off (Christmas Eve, Christmas day etc)anyway. We did enjoy our time together as a family and Allen's parents and sister visited with us the weekend after Christmas.

For New Years we went to Raleigh, NC to visit the Suzanne family whom we lived 3 doors down from in Jacksonville. It was a fun visit and we look forward to going back soon, or having them come up here. Next time, it's going to be a marathon MAD GAB tournament!!

This weekend, we are going out with our friends John and Alicia. John is getting ready to head out to sea, so are going to say our "goodbye and hurry home" on Saturday. We are looking forward to our night out, but hate that he has to go back out so soon.

Well, I'm going to close for now! 2010 is going to be a good year for us, I can feel it!!!
