Last week, I was thinking about my Grandma Fraser and decided that I would pull out her cookbook and make her famous homemade cinnamon rolls. I told Alex what we were making, and she quickly grabbed her apron and scooted her chair over to the counter to help me. She is my assistant chef in the kitchen, just like I used to be with my grandmother. We put everything in the kitchenaid and started it up! I remember as a little girl standing in her little kitchen while she would whip up a batch, and then I'd sit at the table hoping to not miss anything that was being talked about by the adults. I hope that Alex remembers all the time that her and I have spent in the kitchen together, and will cherish those memories later on in life. I miss my grandma dearly and think of her often. I wonder if she would be proud of who I am today...and if she knows that I have a little girl with as much spunk and vigor as she had. :)
