Well, spring break for me is over with and back to reality tonight. I've added 2 more classes and will be starting them this week. They are developmental psychology and Sociology, and are only 8 week courses. They cram 16 weeks into 8-so it should be interesting.
Here is my new schedule for those keeping up with it:
Monday 7pm-10pm Sociology
Tuesday 9:15am-12:15 pm Microbiology Lecture and Lab
Wed 7pm-10pm Sociology
Thursday 9:15am-12:15pm Microbiology Lecture and Lab
7:15pm-10:00pm Statistics
**Developmental Psych is my online class so I have to squeeze that in between everything else!!
So, let me back up and tell you what I did while I was on spring break-I DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND BARELY LEFT THE HOUSE!! It was sooo nice just having time at home and not having to be anywhere. Part of the reason that I didn't leave the house is that I received a telephone call from the school on Wednesday afternoon saying Alex was sick. There was some type of virus going around the school and Alex was one of the recipients-so I was busy taking care of her all week. Finally by Friday she was back to normal but still couldn't go to school because of the "24 hours w/o a fever" rule.
Alex has started her soccer season and has been practicing on Tues and Thursday nights, and her games are on Saturday mornings. She has a new coach and think that its going be a great season. The coach asked me if I wanted to be the "team mom" and I couldn't resist. What we do for our children, huh?! She is still in gymnastics and I think that is her passion. She looks so forward to going to the gym, and is always flipping around the house throughout the week. She also mentioned that she wanted to start dance, but I told her that we may have to wait until summer to start that because soccer will be finished. She is a busy little girl!
Allen traveled to Ft. Belvior (near DC) this past week. So, it was nice to have him return home on Friday. I think that we both are so used to him being on shore duty that we both go into shock when he has to travel and is away. I guess it's very easy to get spoiled, but I need to start gearing myself up for sea duty because it will be here before we know it.
The weather here in Virginia Beach has been beautiful and I think spring is around the corner. This past week it was in the high 60's and mostly sunny with the exception of Friday's rain storm. Allen and I had all the windows open in the house, he washed the cars and I put some chicken on the bbq grill. I think we are both ready for some sunshine and warm weather!!!
I'm going to close for now.
Hope this finds our family and friends doing well! :)
